Nyora is a fork of [Kotatsu](https://github.com/KotatsuApp/Kotatsu), rebuilt by a solo developer around five things manga readers actually want: whole-page AI translation typeset back over the original art, offline chapter downloads, 1,100+ built-in sources plus native Tachiyomi/Mihon/Keiyoushi extension support, free cross-device sync, and no ads or tracking. Tap translate on a page in any language and the whole thing — bubbles, captions, sound effects — gets detected, translated and laid back over the artwork. No copy-pasting into a separate translator app.
The app ships as a signed APK outside the Play Store, so Android will prompt you to allow the install. That's normal for sideloaded apps, but worth knowing going in. Reading needs no account at all. Signing in only turns on Nyora Cloud sync, which carries your library, history, bookmarks and exact reading progress across Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, Linux and the web, on the project's own backend rather than a third party.
